Identity and minority politics have become so lucrative that the majority is now a pejorative. Of course, mythological obscurantism and imaginary past glory are partly to blame. Those who fall prey to this trap lose the sense of critical faculty and seek no external validity.
Modernity and liberalism were a property of the British which the Left appropriated, post-Independence. Over time, they got tethered to defending the minorities. Career and network were built upon this template duly lubricated by the media. The decline, obviously, was inevitable.
My life in the last century was spent in the secular atmosphere whereas this century has seen the dominance of Hindutva discourse. Two other influences the Western and Sri Aurobindo's form the four pillars. Integral in my circumstances would mean reconciling these four dimensions.

Some handles are not happy about temples and rituals but have no clue as to what's the right course. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo come to the rescue in such a situation. Worshipping them is the basis of Savitri Era Religion. For that, they don't lay down any particular prescription.
