INDER S. MARWAH writes an extremely well-researched article on political dimension of Sri Aurobindo's theory of evolution. Rather, a more relevant study would be on how his theory of evolution is going to be the cornerstone of a new universal religion. The Mother has a role, too.
Savitri Era dates
August 15, 1872 Sri Aurobindo was born
February 21, 1878 The Mother was born
March 29, 1914 The Mother met Sri Aurobindo
December 5, 1950 Sri Aurobindo passed away
February 29, 1956 The Mother declared Supramental descent
November 17, 1973 The Mother passed away

That is partly because their "metaphysical formulations" have always new facets like cut diamonds, or like Chinese boxes. Likewise, Savitri's lines and sentences speak out with fresh insight and upliftment every time they are read.
Sri Aurobindo and Hinduism by Peter Heehs is a very important document which clears many confusions with clinical precision. His book titled The Lives of Sri Aurobindo is also good barring a couple of pages which attracted much controversy way back in 2008
A lot of debate is going on on schwa. Listening to this Odia song by Mohammed Rafi can clear many doubts.

You are perhaps trying to stress that we are just another sampradaya of some larger culture. But no. We, the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo, are altogether a new religion called Savitri Era Religion. There's no concept of Avatara or Guru in the philosophy of our religion.
The songs of Mohammed Rafi are incomparable. The sweetness and wide range of his voice will never be replicated.

Yes. I have even studied it. Sri Aurobindo, who was born a century after Hegel, integrated Hegel's ideas into his comprehensive system of Neo-Vedanta philosophy. His idea about Maya is closer to Abhinavagupta (Shaivism) than Sankra (Advaita), more aligned with the scientific age.

My new book, on the history of #esotericism, is finally out. Intended as the first in a series, as writing the entire history of esotericism in one go would have been too big a task. Includes and updates material from the Kheper website #esoteric #gnosis
Sri Aurobindo spent 24 years of his life in seclusion, reading, writing, and exploring the nature of the universe. He provided a new vision for life and humanity.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo's visualisation of evolution is nothing short of a science fiction where human emotions undergo a radical change and current motivations for politics, economics, religion, and art are dethroned. It's difficult to speculate the details but we must aspire

Many get repelled by The Mother for being a relic of Colonialism. It may be true in the sense that she represents East-West integration and human unity. The journey of her life and how she was instrumental in moulding Sri Aurobindo's thought is fascinating

Patrick Beldio's paper on The Mother is quite impressive but he has corrupted it by importing sundry concepts and terminology from other traditions. Somehow, he seems to miss out the first occurrence of descent of Supramental force for which Sri Aurobindo's death was necessitated
