The first and last condition of yoga is peace in the mind, vital n physical. After that one may try some Asanas. Sri Aurobindo stresses on the Word "Aum" to bring down peace in the cells of the body. No greater Pranamaya than "Aum". That is the supreme technique.

All care should be taken against mithya pratishruti o brutha asfalana (false promises and vain assertions); nothing should be imposed on people in name of tradition. Life and society have developed without any clarity on their dynamics. Unsubstantiated beliefs need to be shunned.

Propagating specific knowledge systems without due scrutiny but with the intention of political mobilisation of people is downright deception. The question is who verifies and what are his credentials? Lack of transparency in such matters amounts to sycophancy and indoctrination.

Arranging events shouldn't be confused as making history. Similarly, a maze of ecosystems and echo chambers won't be construed as nation building. Dissent and disagreement is the cornerstone of creativity. Irreverence, and not imitation, should be the norm for critical appraisal.

The Life Divine is the highest achievement of human civilisation although only a handful on Twitter have read it. Many argue that the age old Indian civilisation will continue its journey but Sri Aurobindo has drastically altered the course of Evolution through his epochal works.

Philosophy is important for developing an open mind and respect for arguments or evidence. Most remain prisoners of tradition and rhetoric so much so that even a rigorous scholar like Sri Aurobindo is ignored. Index of the abysmally low level of intellectuality of present Indians.

Sri Aurobindo was well conversant with major schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. So undertaking fresh comparison is pointless. Even comparative studies with Western thinkers by S.K. Maitra is not very fruitful. Postmodernism is the only area which challenges Sri Aurobindo
